Where are the printers located?
Two printers (full-color and black/white) are available for student use within the Information Commons group study area.
How do I print?
You can print from an Information Commons computer or from your own laptop (see driver installation page and Resource Desk for install assistance).
1) Select "Print" on document to the USF Ricoh Universal Printer.
2) Enter your Net-ID in the popup window.
3) Swipe USF ID card at your desired printer station.
4) Review card balance (if available) and select desired print jobs.
5) Press “Print”.
Can I print from my laptop?
Yes! Visit the Printer Installation page to download the installation packages. Choose the Sarasota installation package and download it to the computer. Select USF_RICOH_UNIVERSAL as your printer.
What if my print job does not show up?
Make sure that you entered your Net ID (also known as your Canvas username), and not your U-number, into the "Print" pop-up window. If you are still having trouble, seek help at the Information Desk.
How do I add money to my account for printing?
Thanks to a Student Government initiative, currently enrolled students receive $3.00 worth of free printing each day with their USF-ID. To add more money to your account, visit the Bull Bucks website. Daily funding does not build up over time, but resets to $3.00 every day. Money added through Bulls Bucks is not effected by the daily reset.

Where can I find a quiet study space?
Within Information Commons there is currently a single collaboration room that is open to reservation from students and students only that can be done through the following link. However, beyond this space the Information Commons staff members are not able to reserve any other spaces, however they may be able to give tips on best areas to find quiet study space. Additionally, ear plugs can be provided to students at no cost for quiet studying in any location.
What are the hours of operation?
Students have access to Information Commons study space and computers during regular building hours.

Where is the library?
Information Commons provides students technological resources they need to access electronic sources, as well a credentialed librarian to assist in queries, making it the Sarasota campus virtual library. If students are in need of specific physical texts USF can provide them through the Interlibrary Loan System. Books will be delivered to the Information Commons for pick up for your convenience.
Can I checkout equipment?
We offer a variety of equipment for checkout at the Information Commons Resource Desk. USF IDs are required to borrow items.
Items available for two (2) week loan include: headphones, digital cameras, webcams, and global presenters.
Items available for four (4) hours loan include: laptops, TI-84 calculators, and battery packs.
Course Reserve textbooks are also available for varying amounts of time depending on the text which is offered. See Resource Desk for more information regarding specific Course Reserves.
Can I copy/scan/fax?
Scanning and copying are available at the large print station.
We do not have faxing capabilities within Information Commons. Students needing to send a fax should check with the Student Government office for assistance. Resource Desk staff are here to assist you in utilizing all copy/printing systems.
What if I want to reserve the Media:Scape room?
Students who are interested in reserving the Media:Scape Study Room may do so through the Reservation Page or through the Resource Desk Staff. The space may be reserved up to 2 weeks in advance, and are limited to two hour intervals per day. Same day renewals are made on a case-by-case basis.
